MAKENZO Games
Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 16, 2026
MAKENZO ("MAKENZO Games," "we," "us," "our") makes small mobile games. This policy covers the makenzogames.com website and sets the baseline for every game we publish. Each game also has its own privacy policy page that lists exactly what that game collects and which service providers it uses. Where a game's policy is more specific than this one, the game's policy applies to that game.
Our games
- Double Dutch Derby — see the Double Dutch Derby privacy policy.
- Wobble Derby — see the Wobble Derby privacy policy.
The short version
- Our games are made for a general audience that includes children under 13, so we design them to follow children's-privacy rules (COPPA in the United States and GDPR-K in the EU/UK).
- Our games do not show ads to players under 13. Players who confirm they are 13 or older may see ads that our ad partners personalize using the device advertising ID; each game's privacy page explains exactly what is shared and how to opt out.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- Real-money purchases are handled by Apple or Google — we never see your payment card, and a parental gate ("grown-up check") appears before any purchase.
- You can play our games as an anonymous guest by default.
This website
The makenzogames.com website collects very little:
- Launch notifications (for parents and adults). Some game pages offer a "Notify me" form. If you enter your email address, we store it (with the page you signed up from, your approximate country and a one-way hash of your IP address used only to block abuse) and email you a confirmation. Once you confirm, we tell you when the game launches. We use the address for nothing else and do not share it. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us at the address below to be removed. This form is intended for parents and adults; children should ask a parent to sign up.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard connection information, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Traffic statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It is cookieless: it stores nothing on your device, does not fingerprint your browser, and does not track you across days or across other sites. We do not use any other analytics or advertising trackers on this website.
In our games
The details differ by game and are listed on each game's privacy page. In general, our games may use:
- An anonymous player ID and saved game progress, so your progress can be restored across sessions and devices.
- Optional features you choose to turn on, such as a public display name for leaderboards or linking a social sign-in account.
- Purchase confirmations from Apple or Google (never payment-card details).
- Ads for players 13 and over, delivered through an ad mediation provider and its partner networks, which may process the device advertising ID, approximate (IP-based) location, device information, and ad-interaction data to select, personalize, and measure ads and to prevent fraud, under their own privacy policies. Players can opt out of personalization in their device settings.
- Anonymous crash reports when a game crashes, so we can fix the bug. Reports use a random ID and are configured to exclude personal information.
- Basic device and connection information needed to operate online features and keep the service secure.
On iOS, our games ask players who have confirmed they are 13 or older for the "App Tracking Transparency" permission before the first ad; declining keeps ads non-personalized. Players under 13 are never asked, and we do not track anyone across other companies' apps or websites ourselves.
Children's privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)
We collect only the minimum information needed to run each game, and we use persistent identifiers solely to support internal operations, such as saving progress, preventing fraud, and keeping the service secure; children are not shown ads. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles or to track children across other apps or websites. Where an optional feature would collect personal information from a child beyond what internal operations require, we obtain verifiable parental consent first or restrict the feature for that user. We do not sell children's personal information.
Service providers
Depending on the game and feature, we work with:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, cookieless traffic statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics), and storing launch-notification email addresses and sending their confirmation and launch emails (Cloudflare D1 and Cloudflare Email Service).
- Unity Technologies (Unity Gaming Services) — authentication, cloud save, leaderboards, server-side game logic, and ad mediation.
- Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) — crash and error reporting for our games, hosted in the United States. Receives anonymous crash reports only.
- Ad networks connected through our ad mediation provider — to serve ads to players 13 and over (details on each game's privacy page).
- Apple / Google — to process purchases and, if you choose, social sign-in.
We require these providers to handle data appropriately, and we do not sell personal information. Data may be stored in the United States or other countries where these providers operate. We keep data only as long as needed to provide our games and services, and never indefinitely; each game's privacy page states its retention periods.
Your choices and rights
- Play anonymously — our games can be played as a guest without providing personal details.
- Access or delete your data — contact us to request access to, or deletion of, data associated with you or your child. Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK under GDPR or California under the CCPA), you may have additional rights. Double Dutch Derby players can delete their account or data from inside the game; see the Double Dutch Derby account deletion page.
- Parents and guardians may review the personal information collected from their child, request its deletion, or refuse further collection. To make a request, contact us with enough detail to locate the account (for example, the player ID shown on the game's account screen). We will verify the request and respond within the time required by law.
- You can remove locally stored game data by deleting the app.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data protected.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice on this page or within the affected game.
